As we all know the Maison Martin Margiela with H&M collaboration is due to launch on November 15 and of course we are all super excited, well get this, items from the eagerly awaited collection have shown up on eBay this week, almost three week before the official launch – Shock Horror!
A few very sneaky guests who attended the star studded party in New York on Tuesday have got their sticky fingers on the collection. This has us itching to find out who the perps are, better get the FBI on the case ASAP.
A number of items including the Duvet Coat have appeared on eBay and what’s worse is they are listed at majorly higher prices to the recommended retail price. The Mirror Ball Leggings (which I have my eye on) are listed for more than £65, the silver Candy Clutch has gained bids as high as £135 and The Duvet Coat is currently sitting on £235!
All items are being posted from the US so it’s obvious that one or more of the guests are responsible for this tacky crime against fashion – would I have done the same…..?
The collection consists of 105 pieces beautifully crafted and unique, in-keeping with the fashion house’s signature style.
H&M have become a bit of a high street favourite, collaborating with some of fashion greatest fashion houses such as Marni, Versace, Lanvin, and Jimmy Choo. Each collection selling out in minutes in stores and online. With such a high demand for items from these collections a lot ended up selling on eBay for almost triple the recommended retail price.
Maison Martin Margiela looks to have taken first place selling on eBay before the launch – Not that its a competition!
