You know you’ve made it when Gucci is offering to dress you for your upcoming tour …
Yes! Florence Welch is living the dream … she will be dressed by Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini for all her shows over the next few months.
Frida Giannini will dress the singer in a series of fall outfits from the Italian fashion house for Florence + the Machine’s “Ceremonials” U.S. and European tour. The tour starts on September 14th and it will be the second time the designer has dressed Welch for a concert tour.
Florence loved Gucci’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, she said:
I was immediately drawn to the drama of the [autumn/winter 2012] collection when I first saw it on the runway. I am so grateful and feel very fortunate to be collaborating with Gucci once again.
The pair previously worked with each other to create outfits for her 2011 North America tour.
Frida Giannini enjoys working with the British singer:
Seeing Florence evolve as an artist since her last tour has been truly inspiring, and I was delighted to work with her on this new wardrobe.
For her onstage style, we wanted to create a romantic yet modern aesthetic for Florence to interpret with her dark glamour and dramatic sensuality. I am looking forward to the show as Florence always puts an enchanting energy into every performance.
The 26-yea-old ‘Spectrum’ singer also inspired Gucci’s autumn/winter 2011 collection.
As I was imagining this collection I was thinking of a strong and somewhat mysterious muse. Florence is that kind of woman. I met her in Los Angeles at this year’s Grammys and was captivated by her presence. She has a powerful personality and an entrancing quality to her performances. She also has that confident and self-assured look that goes hand in hand with the Gucci woman.
We cannot wait to see what gorgeous delights Miss Welch will be sporting!
