Fashion designer to the stars, Alice Temperley is launching an exclusive new collection to John Lewis stores in the next coming weeks.
Over the past few years, John Lewis has come leaps and bounds in terms of fashion, housing brands such as, Reiss, Ralph Lauren, Whistles, Aquascutum and 7 For All Mankind. It is definitely fast becoming the go-to store for high-end designer clothing, and with this collaboration with Alice Temperley on the horizon, surely it will cement the department stores’ status as a top fashion retailer.
Somerset by Alice Temperley is an exclusive collection for John Lewis, comprising of 60 key pieces. Named after the designer’s home county, the collection is based on essential pieces that you can wear again and again.
The collection is reminiscent to Alice’s other work and pays tribute to her love of lace, animal prints and floaty hemlines and her attention to detail is exquisite.
Somerset has a military influence as well as a hint of Victoriana, there’s literally something for everyone’s tastes.
Alice Temperley clothes are used to being worn on celebrities from Keira Knightley to the Duchess of Cambridge, but now us mere mortals can get a taste of high fashion at not so high a price.
Alice told John Lewis’ Edition Magazine:
“The Somerset collection is such an exciting concept for me. We’re bringing our clothes to a wider audience.”
Already the collection has gained lots of press attention and we can so see why. Alice was interviewed in Vogue’s August edition where she said: “I know a lot of people who can’t afford high fashion but appreciate well-made, wearable clothes. John Lewis is a great partner as it stands for quality, and is a trusted staple in everyone’s lifestyle.”
Prices range from £29 for a scarf to £1,000 for a sheepskin coat. So whether you’re spending your pocket money or splashing out, there are pieces for every budget, no matter how big or small. We can all get that designer look for less with this amazing range from Alice Temperley.
The Somerset collection launches nationwide from Tuesday 4 September and debuts on johnlewis.com on Sunday 9. How coincidental, it launches just after payday. Perfect. We know what we’ll be buying once we get paid!
