Crystal head Vodka is homage to the notorious archaeological mystery surrounding the 13 quartz Crystal Heads found across the world claimed to be pre-Columbian Mesoamerican, and comes from the think tank that is famous cult actor Dan Aykroyd and fine artist John Alexander.
This luxurious, perfectly pure spirit with absolutely no additives is crafted from deep glacial aquifer water found in Newfoundland, Canada. The quadruple distillation and triple crystal filtration process that is unique to Crystal Head helps create a premium, luxury vodka unlike any other currently on the market
Although I am not a big spirit drinker (I tend to be the one asleep in the corner after polishing off a bottle of sauvignon Blanc) I am partial to a vodka cocktail, or in certain company a vodka on the rocks. I took a bottle of Crystal Head Vodka to a house party on Friday, primarily because its aesthetic it’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser!
With very little expectations I decided to go in head first with a shot to see what I was dealing with before even considering making a cocktail and I was pleasantly surprised. For those of you who have deep suppressed memories of chugging straight vodka back in the day, you will know that burning paint thinner taste well, however Crystal Head tasted surprisingly clean and smooth, of course it heated up the windpipe and left my cheeks flushed however it wasn’t that horribly familiar “I’m going to barf” paralysing kind of flushed.
Sooner or later everyone at the party was volunteering to test the goods leaving me with very little alcohol to water down my cocktail mix, unsurprisingly the reviews were all good, with one even saying
“Best Vodka yet”
If you are planning a swanky Christmas or New Year’s eve party this year you are sure to please with Crystal Head Vodka, and when you’re done you can use the stunning bottle as an ornament or vase!!
