We like hearing the name Channing Tatum and the word ‘stripper’ in the same sentence, that’s why we have been loving the build up to his new film Magic Mike.
The comedy-drama which will be released on 11th July, is about a male stripper who teaches a younger performer how to party, pick up women, and make easy money. The film also stars Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer.
Channing, who used to be a stripper before making it in Hollywood hasn’t had an easy ride whilst making the film. Last week, it was reported that two of Tatum’s former fellow strippers, Thomas Austin and London Steele had filed a lawsuit claiming the actor had ripped off their lives for the new movie. They also claimed he had stolen their dance moves without credit.
In response, Tatum claimed the pair had been trying to make money off him since he found fame in Hollywood, and accused one of the dancers of leaking previous footage of him working on-stage.
Since then, a new clip has suspiciously surfaced featuring Tatum dancing in a strip club. In the new footage, the actor forgets the dance routine to the song YMCA. The video was shot during the actor’s brief stint as a male stripper in the late 90′s. (See video below)
We doubt the gorgeous Channing will be too phased by the video. Magic Mike is already receiving great reviews. David Rooney of the Hollywood Reporter wrote
Arguably the raunchiest, funniest and most enjoyably non-judgmental American movie about selling sex since Boogie Nights, it’s obvious if considerably darker precursor.
Along with the recent Abercrombie & Fitch ‘Call me maybe’ video, this new clip is on repeat at The London Look HQ!
