This weeks style advice….Wellies
With the weathermen predicting that the cold snap is here to stay, it’s time to get myself some proper winter footwear just in case the snow decides to show its face again.
For the style mavens out there, it has to be Hunter wellies. Understated and effortlessly cool, they are the A-listers favourite. I’m loving the Regent St James style (RRP £125.00 – hunter-boot.com) in black, which have an equestrian riding boot feel to them. I can imagine I’d get a lot of wear out of these and they would see me through snow to many a muddy festival field in style.
These Mukluk ankle boots from fitflop.co.uk (RRP £95.00) look like they would keep my tootsies super warm and toasty due to the shearling lining. With a bit of luck they’d also give my legs a much-needed work out – the special ‘Microwobbleboard’ technology soles apparently help tighten your wobbly bits when you walk.
How fab are these Green Fox wellies from Joules.com. I love the print – it’s not too twee – the stripy lining and the proper sturdy grip mean’s no slipping over on my bum. RRP £37.95.
Joules.com seem to be on a bit of a roll when it comes to wellies. I’m also quite taken with these Tie Detail Wellies (RRP £74.95). The brightly coloured bow adds a lovely flirty touch to what is a fairly classic style.
If like me, you are a sucker for love hearts, now you can wear your heart on your feet with the very cute Pink Heart Welly from Emmabridgewater.co.uk. They are reasonably priced too at £35.00 and I think they’d do a good job of brightening up a dreary day.
Bring some biker boot chic to your winter wear with these Black Zipper wellies from funky-wellington-boots.co.uk (RRP £35.00). I really like the buckles and zip detail and the fact that they don’t look like an obvious welly style.
